I had been looking online for a baby parrotlet for a couple of months now. And that's when I ran across the THUNDERBIRDSUSA's website! And WOW! What
a find! After talking with Laurel thru emails and phone calls, I have to say that I am the very proud owner of a Dilute Turquoise Parrotlet named Toby!

He was flown to me via Delta Airlines. When I picked him up at the airport he was chirping and eating right away! He never missed a lick when I got him home! He adjusted really well to his new environment. He is really a little character......sweet, friendly, energetic and loves to have his neck/head rubbed! He steps up like a little trooper!

He is always whistling in his cage! He is really a very happy little fellow! Loves all his toys! And best of all......Can you believe.......HE TALKS.......he says "Pretty Bird" and wolf whistles! And he's only 3 months old! He's one smart lit cookie! He listens to everything I say to him.
Laurel has done a fantastic job raising him! I couldn't be more happier! She answered all my questions and went way beyond to make sure everything was perfect regarding Toby!

I purchased Kendall from Laurel on November 23rd when she was just 8 weeks old. Laurel was very patient in explaining the current diet that Kendall was on and even took the time to make sure the cage was set up carefully, as well as buckled in safely for her first ride in a car. She took a picture for her birth certificate, which was fabulous-yes her very own birth certificate with picture! Kendall has adjusted quite well and has been nothing but a bundle of joy since she came to live with me. She has learned the step up command so I'm hopeful to teach her more commands in the future. I recently took her to school for several days and the kids loved her and she loved all of the attention she received. She allowed all the little fingers to act as perches as she went from one finger to the next, never trying to nip at any little fingers. I would recommend Laurel to anyone who is looking for a sweet, socialized, handfed baby or babies as a pet or for breeding purposes. Not only does she take the time to explain and write out diet plans, but she is VERY prompt in responding to emails should questions or concerns arise after you have purchased a sweet baby from her. I can't wait to purchase more from her in the future.

T-Bird is a pocket full of fun!! Comical, curious, loving & social! Learns simple commands quickly & is very playful. Laurel raises wonderful birds in a family environment. We couldn't be happier with our little Thunderbird. It was very obvious from the beginning that Laurel had spent a lot of time with him. He came home to us as a very outgoing, friendly, curious little guy. Right from the start he was willing to let anyone hold him. In my opinion those early days with the breeder are extremely important in forming a bird's relationships with humans all through its life.  And Laurel has got it right!  Also as an unexpected bonus he has turned out to be a talker. Recently I bought two baby masked lovebirds from Laurel Manley in Atlanta.  One is blue and one mauve.  She trusted me to hand feed and wean, and they are doing wonderfully well.  She has been most helpful answering any questions I've had.  They have graduated from the incubator to a small cage to their permanent home.  I've taken her advice on diet and housing.  They are beautiful, healthy birds with verysweet dispositions.  In time am looking forward to some beautiful babies.  Laurel has an excellent line of birds and recommend her highly to anyone looking for either a pet or for breeding birds.

We have been so lucky to have Laurel in our lives. She has the sweetest babies!! My son, who was 13 at the time, bought our wonderful parrotlet, Mojo, about a year ago. He fell in love with this little baby when Mojo was 3 weeks old, and begged me to let him buy Mojo. He has turned out to be the best pet ever. Mojo gave me the ability to find a love for birds I didn't even realize I had. Mojo says about 40 words and phrases now. I can't imagine not having him. I recently was given the opportunity to get Laurel's first ever hatched Rainbow Lorikeet!!! She is the sweetest, most beautiful baby!!!! I can't say enough good things about Laurel and her birds. You can't go wrong by getting one of her birds. We love her!!!!

When I first contacted Laurel at Thunderbirds I knew I had gone to the right place to purchase my new bird Laurel’s knowledge of the different breeds and the qualities of each lead me to the decision to purchase one of her baby parrotlets. A yellow male named Ziggy!

Ziggy is the cutest, happiest little guy. From day one he was “stepping up”, letting us rub his ears and the top of his head. He loves to snuggle, explore his toys, climb all over his cage, and of course “step up”. I brought Ziggy home only a month ago, and he has already exceeded my expectations! I wanted a happy, healthy companion bird in a small package and that is what got.

Laurel’s rearing, handling and love of these little birds made Ziggy the bird he is. When I saw her handle Ziggy I knew she gave him the best start he could have. I have benefitted from that by gaining a pet that has quickly found a place in my heart.

"I met Laurel at a Bird Show in Georgia. I stopped and spoke to her because she had beautiful, healthy birds and a little crowd was gathering around her table. Laurel let me hold an adorable, yellow parrotlet baby. My eight-year-old daughter and I were smitten. We took Laurel's business card and I emailed her as soon as I got home and within a week, we had our new yellow baby.

We named her "Kiwi" and she has quickly become our new adopted family member. Kiwi is completely tame. She has no fear of humans at all. There was no adjustment period when we brought her home, she immediately was bonded to us.

It is obvious that Laurel loves her babies and spends a lot of time with them. Equally obvious is her attention to the the health of her babies. They eat only the best quality seeds and pellets and a varied diet of fresh fruits and veggies. Kiwi is quiet and we really appreciate that. She is also quite neat compared to other small birds that we have had.
